Sorry I'm a bit slow with feed back.
Received the mag the day prior to leaving for
the Australian Historic Championships late November.
I debated whether to fit it as we were packed
and ready to go, but I am pleased we did as it has completely transformed
this bike.
The old Joe Hunt mag with fixed full advance
was difficult to start at anytime, but impossible by myself. With the
BT-H the starting is easy, just a couple of steps! Low speed running is so
smooth and instead of trying to run backwards, it actually idles (as well
as can be expected from an extreme racing engine.) Also nicer to ride as it
is much faster and smoother out of slower corners.
We have had difficulty keeping cylinder base
and head gaskets in this engine, but since fitting the BT-H we have completed
three hard meetings with no problem - a record!
