Gilera Four

The Gilera four shown here was built by Mark Kaye. It is a faithful replica of the legendary Italian works machinery ridden by the likes of Macintyre and Duke.

Providing enough sparks for a "revvy" four cylinder engine can be a problem. BT-H modified one of their units to go inside the Magnetti-Marelli replica casing.

The picture was taken at the June, Bob Macintyre Memorial meeting at East Fortune. Raced by Pat Sefton, it went and sounded superb!

Pat finished 7th. in the 2005 Classic Senior race at the Manx Grand Prix. Bob Mac rode a Gilera four in 1957 to set the first 100 mph lap on the Isle of Man TT course.
