BT-H Mag-Alternator

We have developed this unit as a replacement for the Lucas Magdyno originally fitted to many British bikes.
The BT-H unit is not a replica of a Lucas magdyno. It is however a direct replacement, single unit, bolting straight on in the same location as the original Lucas magdyno.

Some of the features are:

Self generating ignition so you will be able to start your engine even without a battery.

BT-H easy timing peg system and built in electronic advance / retard.

Units available to fire singles, rotating clockwise or anti-clockwise.

Twin-spark option available.

A 12 volt, 100 Watt alternator complete with regulator/rectifier unit providing a much improved power output over the original dynamo.

Strong, heat treated aluminium cast body with stainless steel shaft and fixings.

Cut out wire for stop button\ignition switch.

Approximately 5 pounds (2.25 kilogram's) lighter than a magdyno.

Nick Saunders has recently completed a 1700 mile tour and extended road test on his Goldstar using the BT-H mag-alternator unit. A brief comment and some pictures can be seen here.

This unit incorporates much of the well proven technology that we use in our other products.
