Scitsu Rev Counters.

Nick Brown and Tony Dawson sent us this email regarding the fitment of their Scitsu rev counter to machines using our magnetos.

Recommendation Scitsu fitment with the new BT-H magneto.

Use the yellow unit for the single magneto.

The black model is recommended for 360 degree twins. Connect the sensor wire to both HT leads.

"V" twins are tricky because of the uneven firing pulses. The 1-2 space, 1-2 space, firing order can confuse the tachometer. It is best to treat a "V" twin like a single and try to keep the sensor wire away from the second HT lead but this is not always possible. Use the brown unit for up to 8000 r.p.m. and the white unit for over 8000 r.p.m.

If you are running on methanol note that a lot of electronic systems don't work well with methanol. The new BT-H magneto has good voltage and the spark produced seems to work well with methanol.
